Australia has achieved great things pushing for equality. But there’s so much still to do.
- The gender pay gap has been stubborn for over two decades;
- One Australian woman is killed every week by a partner or former partner; and
- If we carry on the way we’re going, we won’t achieve gender equity in our Parliament until 2046.
We have to break through the barriers to equality. But this won’t happen by chance – Australia needs a concrete plan for real action.
Join Tanya Plibersek and special guests for an interactive discussion about the issues facing women in Australia and, more importantly, the solutions we need to put in place to address them.
Panellists: Jamila Rizvi, Julie McCrossin and Dr Rae Cooper.
