LABOR CONDEMNS NORTH KOREAN MISSILE TEST

Labor condemns North Korea’s missile test in the strongest terms.

This test is a further provocative and dangerous act taken by the North Korean regime, in complete defiance of international law and UN Security Council resolutions.

This test is not only a direct threat to North Korea’s neighbours, it also undermines global peace and security.

Labor recognises the efforts China makes through diplomatic and economic means to denuclearise the Korean Peninsula, and urges China to look at what more it could do.

Labor urges all parties to work together to counter the North Korean threat.

These unacceptable actions can only further isolate North Korea and Labor unequivocally condemns these reckless threats to global security.
