NETBALL AUSTRALIA LEADS THE WAY

Netball Australia’s new collective playing agreement announced today marks a significant step forward for women’s sport in Australia.

This agreement is an important step towards the professionalisation of women’s sport and reducing inequality when it comes to the pay and conditions of our sportswomen.

The new agreement will see the minimum salary more than double to $27,375, a number of new parental care policies and other family friendly provisions, as well as private health insurance contributions.

Labor congratulates Netball Australia, the Australian Netball Players’ Association and all clubs and stakeholders involved on their successful negotiating.

Equality for women is a national priority for Labor.
