ONE YEAR OF MALCOLM TURNBULL: CUTS TO WOMEN’S SERVICES, NO CHILD CARE RELIEF, AND A GENDER PAY GAP

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull says he has had a “year of achievement”, while he has cut vital funding for women’s services, failed to deliver child care relief, and taken no action on the gender pay gap.

Mr Turnbull has cut millions from women’s health services, legal services and emergency accommodation – putting many women and children at risk.

Mr Turnbull has done nothing on child care other than make it more expensive – leaving families worse off, and making it harder for women to participate in the workforce.

Mr Turnbull has presided over a significant gender pay gap in his own department – when he should be helping to close the gap, not contribute to it.

Australian women are worse off after Malcolm Turnbull’s first year as Prime Minister, but what does he say? “So far so good”.
