THE LIBERALS NEVER LEARN: BUDGET LOCKS IN EDUCATION CUTS

Malcolm Turnbull has locked in huge education cuts to pay for big business tax handouts, the 2018 Budget confirms.

It shows Mr Turnbull’s priorities are all wrong.

At the same time as the Liberals are cutting $17 billion from schools, they’re giving away $17 billion to the big banks.

Labor believes Australian families want their taxes to fund schools, not fatter bank profits.

While the Liberals are cutting billions from unis, they’re giving away $80 billion to big business.

We think Australian families would prefer their taxes go to unis, not the foreign shareholders of big businesses.

Malcolm Turnbull can’t find the money to properly fund schools and unis, but he can seem to find $80 billion to give big business and the banks a tax handout.

The choice at the next election couldn’t be clearer: Labor, who will invest in education – or the Liberals, who will rip education funding away to give it to big business and the banks.
